As the countdown of the 45 day public evaluation period of the proposed Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement for the Keystone Pipeline XL [prepared in accordance to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)] progresses, I thought it prudent to present this document to a wider audience. New civil trial begins for Kern county farmer

My first blog post dated December 11, 2012 featured an article from High Country News which spoke about Mr. Fred STARRH, a prominent cotton grower in Kern County, California USA, who sued Aera Energy LLC, a California Oil and Gas Producer, for contaminating his farm's groundwater supply with Oilfield production waste water.  This 10 year court battle continues, as a trial for punitive damages began two weeks ago within Kern County Superior Court.
